Rolling 4 Rett: RMRA’s Windy, Wonderful Annual Picnic

This past weekend, over 100 RMRA families, friends and guests gathered for our beloved RMRA Roll Rett Picnic at Clement Park on October 4th — and while Colorado’s signature wind made a dramatic appearance, it couldn’t dampen the joy, laughter, and connection that filled the day.

Families rolled together around the lake, sharing stories and smiles as wheels turned and spirits soared. The picnic that followed was a whirlwind of fun — literally! Our balloon artist twisted up magic, while the bubble station became a hilarious battle against the breeze (bubbles? what bubbles?). Pumpkin painting turned into a high-speed chase for flying paint plates, and yet, the creativity never stopped.

Acadia added sparkle to the day with friendship bracelet making and fairy hair — a hit with kids and grown-ups alike. Moe’s BBQ laid out a mouthwatering spread of meats, salads, and desserts that kept everyone coming back for seconds. DJ Tripp kept the tunes going until the wind decided to remix the party by toppling his entire console (ouch — but he bounced back like a champ!).

One of the most heartwarming moments? Every Rett family received a cozy Minky Blanket to take home — a soft reminder of the love and support that surrounds our community. Guests also left with purple RMRA sunglasses and light-up yoyos, adding a little extra glow to the day.

Despite the gusts and giggles, the RMRA Roll Rett Picnic was a beautiful celebration of resilience, friendship, and fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait to roll again next year!
