Rolling 4 Rett: RMRA's Annual Picnic
This past Saturday, October 3rd, RMRA families, friends and guests came together for our annual Roll Rett Picnic at Clement Park. And this year, the wind stayed home.
Families rolled together around the lake, sharing stories and smiles along the way. The picnic that followed was right next to the adaptive playground, so kids of all abilities could jump in and play. Our balloon artist twisted up some magic, and Acadia ran a sunglass decorating station that was a big hit with kids and grown-ups alike. Moe's BBQ kept everyone fed and happy.
One of the best parts of the day? Everyone who came went home with a shirt. October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month, and we hope each one gets worn out and about to help get people talking about Rett syndrome.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a big thank you to Acadia and Moe's BBQ. We can't wait to roll again next year!
